We sometimes hear the question: “How can you just give up a cat once it’s done breeding?”
The truth is, we don’t “give up” on anyone. Every cat who has lived in our home has been deeply loved, cherished, and treated as part of our family. 💕 They’ve curled up on our laps, made us laugh, and filled our hearts. And when their breeding career comes to an end, we owe it to them to ensure they continue receiving that same love and attention for the rest of their lives.
Breeding is our passion — to preserve and improve these beautiful breeds. But to do it responsibly, balance is essential. As much as we would love to keep every cat forever, we can only provide proper space, care, and individual attention to a limited number. If we kept every retired breeder while also bringing in new lines, we would quickly face overcrowding, stress, and even health concerns. That wouldn’t be fair to the cats — or to the breed.
So when the time comes to retire one of our cats, the decision is made with both love and care. We carefully select permanent homes where they can be the center of someone’s world. Many of their new families stay in touch, and seeing them happy, spoiled, and adored is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do. ✨
Rehoming is never about “discarding.” It’s always about doing what’s best — for the cats we love. ❤️
